Abstract
As shown in the previous chapter, the system of categories is at the core of qualitative content analysis. The categories serve to operationalize key concepts, that is, to make them identifiable within the text material. Following the approach advocated by Steigleder, the empirical research on Qatari foreign policy has been conducted with a modular coding frame, inspired by theoretical concepts as well as empirical findings.
