Der Körper zwischen Adipositas und Essstörungen

Zusammenfassung

Stellt man sich ein Kontinuum der äußeren Gestalt des Körpers von dicken zu dünnen Menschen vor, so ist diese eindimensionale Vorstellung nur rein metrisch zutreffend. Eher passt das Bild von Körpern, das von unterschiedlichen Betrachtern geschaffen wird, zu einer Landschaft bestehend aus verschiedenen Formationen, die komplexen Entstehungs- und Veränderungsmechanismen in der Postmoderne unterliegen und oft tief eingegrabene Leidenswege aufweisen. Zudem überlagern sich die Bilder, da ein Teil der Menschen mit einem wesentlich überhöhten Fettanteil auch Vollbilder von Essstörungen aufweisen.
