Zusammenfassung

Der Beitrag diskutiert die Möglichkeiten und Perspektiven einer von der Akteur-Netzwerk- Theorie ausgehenden soziologischen Beschäftigung mit Drogen. Dabei stehen zwei Aspekte im Zentrum: die Kritik an einer Forschung, die vorrangig mit Kontext- und Einbettungsmodellen operiert, sowie die von der ANT aus der empirischen Erforschung der Nutzungspraktiken von Drogen heraus entworfene Soziologie der Attachments. Damit wird nicht nur der Beitrag der ANT für die Soziologie der Drogen sichtbar, sondern auch, dass die Auseinandersetzung mit Drogen als eine Art Testfall für die Soziologie begriffen werden kann, weil sie das Fach dazu zwingt, bestehende Begrifflichkeiten und Erklärungsmodelle zu überdenken.
