Zusammenfassung

Der Untersuchungsgegenstand des vorliegenden Buches ist eine Fabrik für Bekleidungsstücke in der afrikanischen Stadt Kabwe in Sambia. Das Hauptanliegen Kapferers besteht vor diesem Hintergrund in der Analyse zweier Arbeitsniederlegungen. Zu diesem Zweck konzentriert sich die Studie auf eine kleine Anzahl von Arbeitern und deren Beziehungen zum indischen Management der Fabrik (S. 2).
