Zusammenfassung

In seiner ethnographischen Studie thematisiert der australische Sozialanthropologe und Soziologe Bruce Kapferer einen Konflikt zwischen zwei Arbeitern einer Blei- und Zinkmine im heutigen Sambia. Der netzwerktheoretischen Analyse des Konflikts liegt Beobachtungsmaterial zu Grunde, das Kapferer im Rahmen eines Feldaufenthaltes von September 1964 bis Januar 1965 erhoben hat. Die Studie steht im Kontext der Manchester School of Anthropology, der neben Kapferer unter anderem sein Lehrer Max Gluckman, J. Clyde Mitchell, E. Bott und J. A. Barnes angehören.
