Zusammenfassung
Historiker nutzen häufig einschneidende Ereignisse als Demarkationslinien, um Wendepunkte in der internationalen Sicherheitspolitik herauszustellen. Das Jahr 2014 wird sicherlich in einer künftigen historischen Rückschau auch in diese Kategorie fallen, das mit Blick auf die Folgen für die transatlantische Sicherheitspolitik mit dem 11. September 2001 vergleichbar ist. Wie nach der Zerstörung der Twin Towers in New York hat sich auch nach der Rückkehr Moskaus zu einer revanchistischen und machtorientierten Politik die Weltlage diametral gewandelt.
