Abstract
The chapter presents the results of an explorative survey aimed at understanding sharing economy (SE) related practices among Italian university students. Perception, motivations and practices are explored through a web based questionnaire. Among the results, the issue of trust emerges as relevant, however the lack of trust is not the main cause of the limited use of SE practices. Indeed, students are keen to verify the reliability of people and platforms through online reviews fostering the collaborative platforms reputation.
