Zusammenfassung

Das Kapitel gibt einen Überblick über neuere Entwicklungen der kriminologischen Längsschnittforschung und stellt psychologische, soziologische und soziologisch-konstruktivistische Ansätze und deren empirische Grundlagen vor. Diese bilden den Ausgangspunkt für die Panelstudie Die Entstehung und Entwicklung devianten und delinquenten Verhaltens im Lebensverlauf und ihre Bedeutung für soziale Ungleichheitsprozesse (Kurztitel: Chancen und Risiken im Lebensverlauf, CURL), die als Teilprojekt des von der DFG geförderten Sonderforschungsbereich 882 (Von Heterogenitäten zu Ungleichheiten) zwischen den Jahren 2011 und 2015 durchgeführt wurde. Dieses Forschungsprojekt bildet die Datengrundlage für die Beiträge des vorliegenden Herausgeberbandes. In diesem einleitenden Kapitel werden die drei thematischen Einheiten des Bandes Überblick zur Studie und zur Verbreitung devianten und delinquenten Verhaltens, methodische Aspekte in der Erforschung der Jugenddelinquenz und Korrelate und Einblicke in die Jugenddelinquenz aus längsschnittlicher Perspektive vorgestellt.
