Wie bereits in Abschnitt 2 diskutiert, wird das Wort Modell doppeldeutig verwendet. Auf der einen Seite ist ein Modell ein Abbild (zum Beispiel das Bild „Mona Lisa“) eines Originals (einer Frau in Italien in der Zeit der Renaissance), auf der anderen Seite wird aber auch das Original (die Frau selbst) als Modell bezeichnet.
