Zusammenfassung

Die durchgeführten Studien zur Geschichte der Sozialen Arbeit in Lateinamerika und der Karibik haben eine Fülle an Informationen zu den wichtigsten Fakten bezüglich des Übergangs – von Sozialhilfe hin zu einer Professionalisierung und Etablierung der Sozialen Arbeit als Disziplin – geliefert. Zu den relevantesten Autoren zählen hierbei unter anderem Torres-Díaz (1987), Ander-Egg (1994), Malagón/Leal (2006) und Melano/Deslauriers (2012).
