Zusammenfassung
Zu Beginn des 3. Kapitels der Politische Theologie (1922) formuliert Schmitt einen Satz, der sich seitdem gleichsam in die Politische Ideengeschichte eingebrannt hat. Er lautet: „Alle prägnanten Begriffe der modernen Staatslehre sind säkularisierte theologische Begriffe“ (Schmitt 1996a, S. 43).
