Zusammenfassung

Die Romane Amargo y dulzón von Michaelle Ascencio (2002) und Le livre d’Emma von Marie-Célie Agnant (2001) konstruieren weibliche haitianische Identitäten und entwerfen damit zugleich ein (Gegen)Gedächtnis Haitis, das sich auf die Genealogie(n) und Geschichte(n) von Frauen gründet, jeweils in Verbindung mit der Situation der Diaspora der postsklavistischen Gesellschaft. Sie knüpfen damit zugleich in verschiedener Weise an diejenigen Bewegungen an, die erstmals die Frage nach einer ‚schwarzen‘ Identität aufgeworfen haben, Negrismo und Négritude, und schreiben sie aus Gender-Perspektive fort. Insofern sind die Romane (auch) als Texte zu verstehen, die nicht nur die verschwiegene Geschichte eines Landes artikulieren (die der haitianischen Frauen), sondern zugleich auch die Geschichte dieser originären Identitätsentwürfe.
