Einen Stab kennen wir als ein langes schlankes Bauteil, welches auf Zug oder Druck belastet wird. Eine Querkraft kann ein Stab nicht aufnehmen. Grundsätzlich kann es sich bei einem Stab um einen homogenen oder inhomogenen Stab handeln.
