Ein Fallbeispiel im Deutschen Bundestag

Zusammenfassung

Die Autorin widmet sich in ihrer ethnomethodologischen Diskursanalyse ausgesuchten Plenardebatten des Deutschen Bundestages zum Thema „Muslime“. Untersucht werden die Aushandlungsprozesse der Abgeordneten an dieser im Fokus stehenden Kategorie. In sogenannten sprachlichen Manövern dieser RednerInnen wird die Kategorie ‚Muslim‘ vom Feld des Unsagbaren (das Tabuisierte) ins Feld des Sagbaren (politisch korrekt) überführt. Nach einer Einführung in das Forschungsprojekt, in die theoretischen (Bourdieu, Foucault, Goffman) und methodischen Rahmenbedingungen (Ethnomethodologie: Membership Categorization Analysis und Conversation Analysis) stellt Sophie Schäfer zwei exemplarische Manöver anhand des empirisch bearbeiteten Materials zum Fall „Religions- und Glaubensfreiheit“ vor (hier: der Tagesordnungsordnungspunkt 36 der Plenardebatte 17/82). Die Herausarbeitung der Kämpfe um die Kategorie ‚Muslim‘ verdeutlichen im Ergebnis, dass Plenardebatten nicht nur ein Schaufenster der Politik, sondern eine Arena politischen Kampfes sind.
