Abstract

The thesis presented data from one of the first studies based on close, long-term participant observation with dying persons. Sixteen dying key informants, 20 dying interviewees, and 25 short-term contacts to dying persons could be included. Additionally, I met non-dying persons who were professionally or privately close to the dying ones I accompanied.
