Zusammenfassung

Für ein Handels- und Investitionsschutzabkommen war die öffentliche Aufmerksamkeit für die Transatlantische Handels- und Investitionspartnerschaft (englische Abkürzung: TTIP) ungewöhnlich hoch. Sowohl dieses öffentliche Interesse als auch die die TTIP-Verhandlungen begleitenden Proteste zeigen deutlich, dass dem Verhältnis zwischen privater Regulierung und öffentlicher Ordnung sowie den damit verbundenen Legitimitätsfragen mehr Aufmerksamkeit gebührt.
