Communicative Action, the New, and the Innovation Society

Innovation Society Today

Abstract

While writing this chapter I happened to read an article in a Berlin newspaper about a meeting of a group called Berliner Innovation ConSensus, comprising organizations such as Shell, Google, Deutsche Bank, and the Federal German Ministry of Education and Research. The goal of this consortium is solely to inspire innovation of whatever kind. In some respects this is precisely the topic that I will be discussing in this contribution.

I would like to thank Lilli Braunisch, Anina Engelhardt, Miira Hill, Werner Rammert, and the Research Training Group for their comments.
