Zusammenfassung
Der Artikel widmet sich der Diskussion um die Begrifflichkeiten Digitalisierung, Disruption sowie New Business Modell Innovation und ordnet diese aus organisationstheoretischer Sicht ein. Dabei werden die als disruptiv geltenden Veränderungen der Unternehmenswelt besprochen sowie deren wesentlichen Ursachen und die sich daraus ergebenden Folgen für Unternehmen skizziert. Zudem wird darauf hingewiesen, dass es sich bei disruptiven Ereignissen nicht um ein Phänomen der Gegenwart, sondern um ein generisches Merkmal der ökonomischen Entwicklung handelt. Ebenso wird erläutert, warum nicht alle Innovationen oder Veränderungen als disruptiv anzusehen sind, stattdessen nur ein Teil der Veränderungen betroffen sind und welche Bedeutung hierbei Transaktionskosten zukommt. In einer Matrix werden vier Felder ausgewiesen, in denen Innovationen nach ihrem Grad des Veränderungspotenzials eingeordnet und mit der Nachfrageseite verbunden werden. Auf dieser Grundlage wird auf die Möglichkeiten des Corporate Entrepreneurship als strategischer Ansatz hingedeutet, wobei dieser als traditionelle Sichtweise des make or buy verstanden wird, indem Innovationen entweder aus dem Unternehmen heraus generiert oder auf dem Markt zugekauft werden können.
