Zusammenfassung
Digitale Technologien haben einen ubiquitären Einzug in das private und berufliche Leben erlangt. Gerade bei der jüngeren Generation sind digitale Medien bestimmend in allen Lebensbereichen. Durch rasant voranschreitende technische Innovationen, optimierte Konnektivität, umfangreiche Software und verbesserte Handhabbarkeit, vor allem von Smartphones und Tablets, ist diese Entwicklung allgegenwärtig. Das am häufigsten genutzte mobile Gerät ist hierbei das Smartphone. In diesem Beitrag werden die Potenziale der Digitalisierung für Hochschulen diskutiert und die Möglichkeiten von Mobile Learning Analytics – also der gezielten Nutzung von mobilen Lerndaten der Studierenden und Dozierenden zur Verbesserung der Lehr- und Lernprozesse – detailliert erörtert. Neben zentralen Grundlagen werden die Chancen und Risiken dieses neuen Feldes beschrieben und anhand eines Fallbeispiels die konkreten Verwendungsmöglichkeiten an (dualen) Hochschulen aufgezeigt. Schließlich werden ein Fazit sowie ein Ausblick für zukünftige Forschungsfelder gegeben.
