Zusammenfassung
Organisationen sind heute durch ein hohes Maß an digitaler Kommunikation, Vernetzung und Datenbeständen gekennzeichnet. Mitarbeiter, Kunden, Lieferanten und weitere Stakeholder generieren durch Kommunikation in digitalisierten Schriftstücken, sozialen Netzwerken, E-Mails, Tweets, Blogs und Internet-Telefonie eine unüberschaubare Menge an Daten. Zu diesen personennahen, nutzergenerierten und kommunikationsbezogenen Daten kommen weitere Daten hinzu, wie individuelle Bewegungsdaten, Daten aus geschäftsbezogenen (z. B. Kundendaten) oder industriellen Prozessen (z. B. Sensordaten).
