Zusammenfassung
Seit mehreren Jahren ist eine stetig zunehmende Internationalisierung von Forschungund Entwicklung (F&E) zu verzeichnen. Schwellenländer, insbesondere China und Indien, haben als Zielländer ausländischer F&E-Aktivitäten deutlich an Bedeutung gewonnen. Multinationale Unternehmen stellen hierbei die treibende Kraft dar. Sie sind für etwa zwei Drittel der weltweiten Ausgaben für Forschung und Entwicklung verantwortlich und treiben die Entwicklung neuer Produkte, Dienstleistungen und Innovationen voran.
