Zusammenfassung
Affekt steht im Zentrum aktueller Theoriedebatten und wird in Anlehnung an wie auch in Abgrenzung zum Emotionsbegriff verwendet. Der Beitrag skizziert zunächst die begrenzte Reichweite des Emotionsbegriffs, wenn es um die Einbettung von Akteuren in soziale Zusammenhänge geht. Sodann werden unterschiedliche Verständnisse des Affektbegriffs in den Kultur- und Sozialwissenschaften vorgestellt und gefragt, welcher Affektbegriff für die empirische Forschung fruchtbar gemacht werden kann. Darauf aufbauend entwickelt der Beitrag einen Affektbegriff, der die Affizierbarkeit menschlicher Körper in Relation zu anderen Körpern in den Mittelpunkt stellt, und illustriert, wie dieser zum besseren Verständnis unterschiedlicher Formen von Sozialität beitragen kann.
