Der wesentliche Inhalt dieses Kapitels ist die mathematische Modellierung sowie die Bestimmung der Systemantwort auf eindeutig definierte Anregungsfunktionen mechanischer Systeme. Die fundamentale physikalische Grundlage bezüglich der Analyse mechanischer Systeme ist das sogenannte „Zweite physikalische Gesetz“ von Newton, das auf jedes mechanische System angewandt werden kann.
