Zusammenfassung
Die PTBS ist durch die drei Kardinalsymptome Intrusionen, Hyperarousal und Vermeidungsverhalten definiert.
Bei der „komplexen“ PTBS bestehen sowohl die drei Kernsymptome als auch weitere Beeinträchtigungen, wie z. B. in den Bereichen Emotionsregulation, Selbstbild, Beziehungsgestaltung.
Dissoziationen stellen eine Bewältigungsstrategie in der traumatischen Situation dar, führen als Symptome jedoch zu einer Reduktion der Lebensqualität und zu einer Einschränkung im beruflichen Aktionsradius.
Bei schweren und lange andauernden Traumatisierungen kann es zu einer dissoziativen Identitätsstruktur (DIS – auch multiple Persönlichkeit genannt) kommen.
Bei ca. 80 % der Betroffenen einer PTBS kommt es zu komorbiden psychischen Störungen, wie Angststörungen, Depressionen, Abhängigkeitserkrankungen oder somatischen Komorbiditäten.
Zudem spielen selbstverletzendes Verhalten und Suizidgedanken eine Rolle.
