Zusammenfassung

Scholars in the fields of social sciences and humanities nowadays widely agree that the world is becoming more and more mobile referring to an increasing mobility of goods, capitals, objects, ideas, technologies, strategies, people, etc. Arjun Appadurai (1996) talks about the global flows, Manuell Castells (2011) about the network society, and Tim Cresswell (2006) about on the move experiences. Cresswell writes: “Mobility is a fact of life. To be human, indeed, to be animal, is to have some kind of capacity for mobility” (2006: 22). We all are on the move in the net of people, connections, and meetings, whether for work or for leisure.
