Zusammenfassung
Der Beitrag fragt nach den motivationalen und strukturellen Dynamiken in der Online-Kommunikation politischer Interessenorganisationen. Es wird zunächst ein theoretischer Rahmen skizziert, der als Alternativvorschlag zu theoretischen Konzepten zu verstehen ist, die Organisationen als vollständig rational handelnde Akteure verstehen. Stattdessen werden Interessenorganisationen als abhängig von ihrer institutionellen Umwelt konzipiert. Vor diesem Hintergrund werden die Befunde einer Interviewstudie zur Online-Kommunikation von Interessenorganisationen aus den Feldern Gesundheits- und Umweltpolitik diskutiert. Das Ziel dieser Diskussion ist es nicht, den Streit darüber zu lösen, ob politische Organisationen nun „strategisch“ kommunizieren oder nicht. Vielmehr geht es darum, einen Blick in die „black box“ der Organisation zu werfen, um die Organisations-Umwelt-Dynamiken zu verstehen, die das Spannungsfeld zwischen Intention und Emergenz in der Online-Kommunikation politischer Organisationen ausmachen.
