Zusammenfassung

Ernesto Laclau gehört zu den wenigen politischen Theoretikern der jüngeren Zeit, denen es gelungen ist, über die Politische Theorie hinaus sowohl auf die empirische Erforschung von Politik in der Politikwissenschaft als auch auf die praktische Politik großen Einfluss auszuüben. In der praktischen Politik finden sich Bezüge auf Laclau zum Beispiel in den lateinamerikanischen links-populistischen Bewegungen, bei Syriza in Griechenland oder in der 15M-Bewegung bzw. Podemos in Spanien. In die empirische Erforschung von Politik hat Laclau insbesondere durch konzeptionelle Erneuerungen hineingewirkt.
