Zusammenfassung
Im vorliegenden Kapitel wird eine empirische Annäherung an das Phänomen Unterricht nachvollzogen. Die Empirie besteht hier allerdings nicht in der vorgefundenen Praxis des Unterrichts, sondern in der vorgefundenen Praxis der Erforschung des Unterrichts. Ausgangspunkt ist also nicht die Beobachtung der Akteure des Unterrichts, sondern die Beobachtung der wissenschaftlichen Beobachter des Unterrichts, sozusagen eine Beobachtung zweiter Ordnung (Luhmann 1990, S. 85f.).
