Die reine Marktwirtschaft und der Sozialismus sind die Extreme in Bezug auf die Frage nach der Zentralität bzw. Dezentralität der Organisationsform eines ökonomischen Systems. Systeme, welche weder absolut hierarchisch sind noch ausschließlich durch die Institution des Privateigentums bestimmt sind, heißen interventionistisch.
