Abstract

This part aims to present the theoretical foundations, which serve as the basis for the accomplishment of this thesis’ research aim. As the goal of this dissertation is to explain how firms can enable open innovation for embedded systems, first of all, the main concepts of embedded systems and open innovation will be presented in chapter 2 and chapter 3.
