Zusammenfassung
Abgegrenzte Virtuelle Realitäten der 1990er-Jahre haben sich unterdessen in allumfassende und unentrinnbare alltägliche technische Umwelten aufgelöst. Performances mit Technologie tragen entscheidend dazu bei, diese technischen Umwelten zu verzaubern und sie als Techno-Psyche so in Kopf und Körper zu verankern, dass ein an diese Umwelten gebundenes Selbst entsteht. Diese Faszinationsgeschichte dürfte verständlich machen, warum in digitalen Kulturen recht wenig gegen die Entwicklung hin zu einem prothetischen Datengebertum menschlicher Agierender unternommen wird.
