Zusammenfassung

„Eine Norm ist eine verbale Beschreibung der konkreten Handlungsorientierung, die als wünschenswert gilt, kombiniert mit einer Aufforderung, zukünftige Handlungen mit dieser Orientierung in Einklang zu bringen“ (Parsons, 1968: 75). Das Europäische Normungskomitee (Comité Européen de Normalisation, CEN) wurde im Jahr 1961 als Dachorganisation der nationalen Normungsinstitute in den Ländern der Europäischen Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft (EWG) und der Europäischen Freihandelszone (EFTA) gegründet.
