Zusammenfassung
‚Animation‘ und ‚Wandel‘ sind in vielfacher Hinsicht eng verknüpft: So beschreibt schon der Begriff Animation grundsätzlich einen Wandlungsprozess — nämlich die Belebung von Dingen, also die Wandlung von Totem in Lebendiges. Im übertragenen Sinne meint und umfasst Animation Transfer- und Transformationsprozesse, die sich um die Frage drehen, wie Dingliches in Menschliches, Reales in Fiktives, Fotografisches in Grafisches, Unsichtbares in Sichtbares, Räumliches in Flächiges (und jeweils umgekehrt) verwandelt werden kann.
