Flüchtlinge als Kinder – Kinderflüchtlinge

Zusammenfassung

Die Zahl der Kinder auf der Flucht ist auf historischem Höchststand. Durch Erlebnisse im Herkunftsland und auf der Flucht sind Flüchtlingskinder häufig von Traumatisierungen betroffen, deren weitere Entwicklung von den Lebensbedingungen im Aufnahmeland geprägt ist. Belastungs- und Risikofaktoren ergeben sich aus der Asylsituation, insb. durch die Aufenthaltsunsicherheit, die Unterbringung, finanzielle Knappheit und Barrieren im Zugang zum Bildungswesen. Stabilisierende Ressourcen können sich in Familie, Freundeskreis, Freizeitaktivitäten sowie Institutionen wie Schule und Kindergarten finden. Zur Stabilisierung ist die kultursensible Einbeziehung der (häufig selbst belasteten) Eltern unerlässlich, auch emotional verfügbare Fachkräfte sind wichtig.
