Zusammenfassung
Erich Fromm wird am 23. März des Jahres 1900 in Frankfurt in einer orthodoxen Familie geboren. Nach dem Abitur studierte er zunächst zwei Semester Rechtwissenschaften in Frankfurt und gründet 1920 dort das Freie Jüdische Lehrhaus mit, eine jüdische Volkshochschule, in der Nehemia Nobel, Franz Rosenzweig, Martin Buber, Leo Baeck und auch Gershom Scholem unterrichten. Anschließend studiert Fromm pro forma Jura in Heidelberg weiter, hört aber hauptsächlich Soziologie und Philosophie.
