Zusammenfassung

Die „Klinische Embryologie“ zeigt sich als Schmelztopf vieler klinischer und naturwissenschaftlicher Disziplinen, um den Anforderungen einer modernen Kinderwunschbehandlung gerecht zu werden. Im Vergleich zu anderen medizinischen Fachgebieten können die Reproduktionsmedizin und die klinische Embryologie jedoch erst auf eine sehr kurze Geschichte zurückblicken. Alle Entwicklungen wurden durch technische Erfindungen und Erneuerungen getrieben, wobei die Halbwertszeit des erworbenen Wissens nur sehr kurz ist.
