Abstract

Motivated by an ever increasing number of supply chain threatening incidents that constantly remind supply chain decision makers of the need to improve risk awareness and preparedness, the research field of supply chain risk management arose and ever since attracts the interest of both practitioners and researchers. This thesis raised the necessity and the topic of supply chain risk analytics defined herein as a subtheme of supply chain risk management and brought to application in two different settings. Based on the questions formulated in Chapter 1, which plotted the research path of this three-part thesis, the following paragraphs summarize major conclusions and disclose directions for future research.
