Abstract

The simulation of glare effects is a very interdisciplinary research area. Before it can be addressed as motivated in Chapter 1, several fundamental terms and definitions have to be described. The following chapter, hence, addresses in Section 2.1 the question of how light is perceived and interpreted by the human visual system.
