Zusammenfassung
Betrachtet man die gegenwärtige wissenschaftliche Literatur zur Automobilindustrie eingehend, so wird unmittelbar deutlich, dass die Elektromobilität nicht nur einen wichtigen Stellenwert einnimmt, sondern auch das Potenzial in sich trägt, die globale Automobilindustrie fundamental zu verändern. Vielfältige Prognosen betonen, dass bis zum Jahr 2020 rund fünf bis zehn Prozent und bis zum Jahr 2030 sogar annähernd 20 bis 35 Prozent der verkauften Fahrzeuge mit einem elektrisch-betriebenen Motor ausgestattet sein dürften [1]. Gleichzeitig wird eine umfangreiche Konsolidierung unterschiedlichster Industrien (wie z.B. Energie-, Automobil- und IT-Industrie) im Übergang in die Elektromobilität nicht ausgeschlossen [2].
Dem folgenden Artikel liegt ein Arbeitspapier mit dem Titel „Industry Transformation and the Slowness of Strategic Actions in the Transition to Electric Mobility – An Explication of the Contradiction between the Expected Industry Changes and the Current Strategic Behavior of Incumbent Automotive Firms” zugrunde, welches auf der 23. Internationalen GERPISA-Konferenz 2015 in Paris vorgestellt wurde.
