Abstract
Looking at the economic success of the world’s most popular institutions of higher education yields the observation that certain segments of the higher education industry are highly competitive. When considering the size of the market, it is worth noting that the higher education sector has an annual market of $1,000 billion worldwide. The industry employs 50 million people and, perhaps most importantly, it has over one billion potential customers.
