Das Kapitel 3 beschäftigt sich mit Modellen und Erklärungsansätzen, die für die Weiterbildung im Kontext der Arbeit relevant sind. Der Bezug zu den motivationspsychologischen Modellen wird insbesondere in der empirischen Studie I (vgl. Kapitel 4) hergestellt und die Untersuchung sowohl auf dieser theoretischen Basis konzipiert als auch deren Ergebnisse interpretiert.
