Zusammenfassung
Sehr viele ADHS-Studien sind methodisch schwach und damit nicht aussagefähig. Eine der Hauptschwächen liegt in der mangelhaften Kontrolle von „Störfaktoren“, also unberücksichtigten Einflüssen auf das Untersuchungsergebnis. Besonders psychosoziale Faktoren wie familiäre Armut oder niedriger sozioökonomischer Status werden nicht kontrolliert. In der bisherigen ADHS-Hirnforschung wurden Aspekte der Neuroplastizität des Gehirns und der Epigenetik, intrauterine und frühkindliche Traumata, aber auch spätere chronische Familienpathologien bisher überhaupt nicht bedacht und müssen deshalb als durchgehende unkontrollierte Fehlervariablen alle bisherigen Untersuchungsergebnisse grundsätzlich infrage stellen.
