Zusammenfassung
In den vergangenen zwei Jahrzehnten beeindruckte Brasilien über lange Strecken hinweg mit einem kräftigen Wirtschaftswachstum. Doch durch die jüngste Regierungskrise und die damit einhergehende Rezession hat die größte südamerikanische Volkswirtschaft einen herben Dämpfer erhalten, der auch die Entwicklung vom einstigen Krisenland zur lateinamerikanischen Führungsmacht auf die Probe stellt. Im Kontrast dazu stehen all die bunten Assoziationen mit dem Land: Karneval, Samba, Fußball oder die pure Lebensfreude – das Land hat sich schon fast selbst zu einer Marke entwickelt. Und mit seiner wachsenden Mittelschicht hält es weiterhin viel Potenzial bereit. Für Markteinsteiger wirft das die Frage auf, wie sie ihre Positionierung am besten auf die weltweit berühmte brasilianische Lebenskultur ausrichten können. Neben den Hürden und Chancen, die der brasilianische Markt bereithält, erkundet dieses Kapitel deshalb auch die Erwartungen brasilianischer Konsumenten an internationale Marken.
