Zusammenfassung

Wer heute als LSBT*I-Mensch gealtert ist, hat atemberaubende, historisch einmalige Wandlungsprozesse durchlebt: von der extremen Stigmatisierung als Außenseiter über den erfolgreichen Auftritt der Frauen- und Schwulenbewegungen hin zu einem nahezu mehrheitsverträglichen Dasein. Welche dieser durchlaufenen Wirklichkeiten wird die Lebensqualität in einer Phase körperlich zurückgehender Kräfte beeinflussen? Siegt die Erinnerung an die erlittenen 1950er und 1960er Jahre, oder wird der ‚emanzipierte‘ Stand des frühen 21. Jahrhunderts erklommen? Die Besonderheiten gelten nicht nur für jene Alterskohorten, die aus den Jahrzehnten der heftigen Homosexuellenrepression kommen; sie werden auch künftig zu verspüren sein. Jeder LSBT*I-Mensch weiß, wie gut es sein könnte, aber nicht allzu oft kann das auch real gelebt werden.
