The work treats the interaction of few-cycle laser pulses with matter. The basic description of the time evolution of the eletric field of a few-cycle laser pulse is most conveniently described using an envelope \( f\left( t \right) \) and a phase function \( \left( {\phi \left( t \right)} \right) \).
