Zusammenfassung

Der Begriff ‘Wachkoma’ – eine metaphorische Beschreibung des behavioralen Phänotyps schädel-hirnverletzter Patienten – hat sich in den letzten Jahren im Kontext einer zunehmenden medialen Präsenz des Symptomkomplexes ‘Apallisches Syndrom’ von seinem ursprünglichen medizinischen Verwendungskontext aus in weitere nicht-medizinische Diskursfelder ausgebreitet.
