Zusammenfassung
Die Kategorie des Raums bildet aus medienästhetischer und aus mediendramaturgischer Sicht eine der produktivsten Schnittstellen zwischen Videospielen und anderen Medien. Die Mise-en-scène, die auf der Leinwand durch Montage und Kameraarbeit einen von den Zuschauern ergänzten filmischen Raum impliziert, verwandelt sich im Videospiel in eine navigierbare Struktur zwischen Hindernis-Parcours und ästhetischer Eigenverantwortung der Spieler. Die Narrative Architecture der Videospiele ermöglicht die Konstruktion transmedialer Räume, wie am Beispiel des erfolgreichen Batman-Franchise verdeutlicht wird.
