Abstract
The multiplication of a variable by several constants, commonly denoted as multiple constant multiplication (MCM), is a frequent operation in many DSP systems. It occurs in digital filters as well as discrete transforms like, e.g., the fast Fourier transform (FFT) or the discrete cosine transform (DCT). It can be found in a variety of signal processing areas such as communication, feedback control, image processing, automotive applications, biomedical applications, radar and high energy physic’s experiments [10−13].
