Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyze psychological factors (such as personality characteristics, coping, and co-morbidities) which are present in women suffering from AN and neurobiological aspects of the disease such as structural brain changes and functional alterations concerning the processing of taste stimuli. Previous studies have evidenced specific personality characteristics which are associated with the disease (Barbarich et al., 2003; Kaye et al., 1998, 2005, 2009; Lemberg, 1999; Tejado et al., 2010).
