Die NCQA (www.ncqa.org) ist eine unabhängige, Non-Profit-Organisation, die 1979 zur Qualitätsförderung und Zertifizierung insbesondere von HMOs gegründet wurde, um Arbeitgebern bei der Auswahl der Versicherung zu unterstützen.

Die PRO ist eine von Ärzten getragene Organisation zur Beurteilung der Qualität und der Inanspruchnahme von Gesundheitsleistungen im Medicare-Programm.
